What We Offer
Basically, we provide support for the often lonely and frustrating task of writing. We see ourselves as trained guides in the hard work and personal exploration writing involves. What makes us unique is that we allow you all the benefits of a writing class without the travel time or the annoyance of waiting for your turn. You have our undivided attention!
During each 3-month term, we communicate with you via email or snail mail (your choice) and, specifically, we
- Inspire with a variety of original writing prompts from which you may choose
- Encourage you with one-on-one feedback
- Provide timely, detailed responses to your writing
- Recommend development opportunities for your ongoing work
- Suggest helpful, enriching readings
We charge $324 per term.
| NEW SERVICE! We now offer materials and guidance to help you create your own ethical will. An ethical will allows you to communicate your values and your story to your children and to future generations. In addition, we provide in-depth critical reading and review of longer, completed works. Specifically, we
- Offer overall revision strategies for your novel/novella, short story collection, book-
- length memoir, or poetry collection
- Identify weaknesses in language or plot structure
- Suggest methods for creating more powerful images, characters, and story lines
- Honor the development of your own distinctive voice
- Encourage you during your ongoing revision process
Our fee for this service is $40 per hour.
